ONE WEEK ABOUT photo archive Henk Gianotten by curator Henk Gianotten
This week Henk Gianotten is going to show a number of pictures of designers who were the subject in Roots (Dutch Graphic Roots), a series of publications that aims at generating attention to the post-war generation of Dutch graphic designers. Today Titus Yocarini.
Photo 1: Designer/museum director/national guardian Titus Yocarini receives his Roots cahier from Robert van Rixtel. I know Titus in various capacities and he is a passionate promoter of design in the broadest sense of the word. Besides, he is also a creator and a lover of unique graphic editions.
Photo 2: Titus’ friends included letter designer Gerard Unger and graphic designer Ben Bos.
Photo 3: Paul Mijksenaar, the internationally renowned designer of signage systems was one of the visitors to the BNO.
Photo 4: Photographer Aatjan Renders took all – well over 50 – Roots portrait photos. With great pleasure he made this penetrating “en-face photo” of Renders.
